Awazon Market // timing group

Changing when you do it

The smallest group and it contains one of only four unconditional verdicts on the site. Two of these four records say the timing change buys nothing. The other two are about the hour when everything goes wrong, which is always the same hour.

Awazon Market // onion addresses

The three strings below open the same market. The same account, the same balance, the same open orders sit behind each one. Copy a string, paste it into Tor Browser, and read the last six characters in the address bar before you type a password.

NOTHING HERE IS RANKED. THE ORDER IS THE ORDER THEY WERE WRITTEN IN.

IWhy timing is a variable at all

Nothing about Tor or the market behaves differently at three in the morning. What differs is you. Every expensive mistake documented on this site was made by somebody in a hurry, and hurry is produced on a schedule: an address stops answering, an order is pending, a message says the deal has to move now.

So two of these records are about removing a pressure rather than adding a protection, and that turns out to be worth more than most of the technical substitutions elsewhere.

IIThe four records

IIIThe three minute answer to is it up

  1. 01Rebuild the circuit and try the same address again. Two or three attempts, not one.
  2. 02Try the other two addresses from the top of this page on the fresh circuit.
  3. 03Open an unrelated onion you already know works. If that also fails, the fault is your connection, and the network group is where you are.
  4. 04If all three addresses fail and unrelated onions load, you are in record T2, and the correct next action is to do nothing for a while.
WHY THERE IS NO STATUS LIGHT HERE

Reachability over Tor is decided by the circuit your own client builds when you click. Two people in the same room get different answers, so a badge on a web page would describe somebody else at a moment that has already passed. The four steps above answer it for the only observer that matters, which is you.
