M2Awazon Market // record M2
M2 // Exchange account to a wallet you hold
One hop, added deliberately, between an account with your documents on it and a payment to a market. It is the highest value change in this group and it costs a few minutes.
Awazon Market // onion addresses
The three strings below open the same market. The same account, the same balance, the same open orders sit behind each one. Copy a string, paste it into Tor Browser, and read the last six characters in the address bar before you type a password.

NOTHING HERE IS RANKED. THE ORDER IS THE ORDER THEY WERE WRITTEN IN.
IWhat the direct route creates
An exchange that verified your identity holds a record: this person, these documents, this withdrawal, to this address, at this time. If that address belongs to a market, the record is a complete statement in one row, held by a company that is required to keep it and to hand it over on request.
Adding your own wallet in between does not erase the purchase and does not pretend to. It changes what the row says. The exchange saw a withdrawal to a wallet, which is what withdrawals normally are.
IIDoing it properly
- 01Withdraw to a wallet you control. Any wallet where you hold the keys qualifies; a second exchange account does not.
- 02Do not send the same amount straight out again within a minute. A withdrawal and a matching payment seconds apart are easy to line up, particularly on a public ledger.
- 03Take the market deposit address from the order page in your own session, never from a message.
- 04Keep the wallet for this and not also for your salary or your savings.
IIIWhat it does not do
On a public ledger the path is still visible, and analysis follows chains through intermediate wallets routinely. The substitution removes the single row that says everything at once; it does not make the trail vanish. Combining it with record M1 is what actually addresses the trail, and the two are independent changes.
IVThe reason people skip it
Fees and impatience, in that order. A withdrawal costs something and takes a few minutes, and there is a moment where the coin is neither at the exchange nor at the market. That discomfort is the entire reason the direct route is common, and it is a poor trade against a permanent record held by a regulated company.
The exchange should see you withdrawing to a wallet. It should not see you paying a market.
