IIThe links people forget

Timing is the second. Two accounts that are only ever active in the same forty minute window, and never at the same moment, describe one person with one schedule. Nothing about the credentials matters at that point.

IIIWhen it is genuinely worth it

You buy and you also sell, and want the two histories apart. This is the strongest case.
You are testing an unfamiliar vendor and do not want the outcome attached to an account with standing.
An account has become associated with something you would rather leave behind, and starting fresh is cleaner than explaining.
